Brussels Day Trip - 26 June 2015
We joined more than 500 delegates in Brussels for the launch of the next round of European Funding for the Bio-based Industry.
More than 100 million euros are being made available to support the development of bio-based solutions for a variety of industries and markets including the Flagship programme to support the development of bio-based light flexible structures.
We are currently looking at potential development partners from across Europe to access some of this funding and realise our dream to bring bio composite products to the worldwide construction industry as a viable and sustainable alternative to traditional building materials.
We met lots of like-minded businesses from across Europe and look forward to growing our network through partnership and collaboration.
We continue to move forward with a funding application for Phase One of the Horizon2020 programme but in the meantime are seeking support for our futurebuilt project, which will push the boundaries in bio composite development and application.
AECB Membership - 5 August 2015
dl bio composites is now a proud member of the Sustainable Building Association. Working together our aim is to reduce the embodied energy in this global industry and provide homes and buildings that support the Earth not exploit its resources.
Eco Technology Show - 11/12 June 2015
We are back from attending the Eco Technology Show (ETS) and want to thank everyone who came to see us on our stand. We believe that bio composites are the future and it was great to hear from so many like-minded people looking for sustainable alternatives to traditional, carbon-based materials.
There are a wide variety of potential uses for bio composites in the construction industry and we will be following up shortly with everyone who expressed an interest - from use as an alternative to plasterboard and building cladding to decorative panels and flooring. We like to give our customers what they want so please keep an eye on this site for the launch of these new products.
The ETS demonstrated that there is a real appetite for sustainable, ethically sourced bio composites. Our existing work with bio composites is just the tip of the iceberg and we are seeking funding support for R&D, which we believe will be the catalyst for bio composites to reach their full potential.
ETS 2015: highlighting how embracing innovation in technology and low carbon solutions can save money and deliver genuine benefits to businesses, cities and communities now and in the future.
